KUALA LUMPUR: The Hijrah24 Plan would be able to revive the business and investment activities of Lembaga Tabung Haji to ensure its continuity and excellence, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

       He said he was told that the plan was developed in line with the values and characteristics of the Malaysian Family, which inculcated the values of inclusiveness, togetherness and gratitude.

       He added that Hijrah24 is Tabung Haji’s 2022-2024 Strategic Transformation Plan to drive the organisation forward for the next three years, especially in facing future challenges.

       “I was informed that this plan covers 24 strategic initiatives to achieve Tabung Haji’s aspirations, with a focus on strengthening the structure of corporate governance and operations, as well as being driven by digitalisation,” he was quoted as saying by Bernama during the launch of the Hijrah24 plan here yesterday.

       Also present were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Idris Ahmad, Tabung Haji (TH) chaimanTan Sri Azman Mokhtar as well as TH Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin.

       In a Facebook post, Ismail Sabri also wrote that the Malaysia Pavilion had bagged the Gold Award at the Expo 2020 Dubai Pavilion Awards, which reflected the country’s success in delivering on its commitment to sustainability by maintaining biodiversity internationally.

       He said the award was also an international testimony of the programmes at the Malaysia Pavilion in line with its rainforest canopy theme, concept and design.

       This included adopting various natural concepts like waterfalls, vertical gardens and other natural elements.

       “Congratulations Malaysia Pavilion. On March 30, Malaysia Pavilion won the Gold Award for the Theme Interpretation category hosted by Bureau International des Expositions,” he added.
