PETALING JAYA: Musician Radhi from OAG has been charged at a Magistrate's Court here for hurting his ex-wife.

Radhi, whose full name is Mohd Radhi Razali, was accused of voluntarily causing hurt to Nur Shahira Ayu Zahiri at a parking lot in Kota Damansara.

The offence was allegedly committed at 2.29pm on Tuesday (April 19).

The charge was framed under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Radhi faces jail time of up to one year or a maximum fine of RM2,000 or both, if convicted.

After the charge was read out here on Friday (April 22), the OAG front man replied "faham" (understood) and pleaded not guilty.

Deputy public prosecutor Mohamed Wafi Husain offered bail at RM7,000.

Radhi's lawyer, Haziq Aizuddin Subhi, however, pleaded for a lower amount.

He said his client has no fixed income and has to support his children who are in his custody.

"Bail is only meant as a guarantee and not to be punitive," Haziq said.

Magistrate Muhammad Iskandar Zainol fixed bail at RM2,500 in one surety and set the case for mention on July 13.

Radhi and Nur Shahira were divorced in July 2019. They have two children.

Prior to his marriage to Nur Shahira, Radhi was married to Shazlin Sharif. They were divorced on June 8, 2010. They have a 14-year-old boy.

Radhi and his band OAG were popular in the 1990s with hits such as 60's TV and Name of the Game.
