BATU PAHAT: Two men have been injured by a foreign woman who allegedly attacked them with a metal rod.

       Batu Pahat deputy OCPD Supt Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani said the incident, which took place at around 5pm on Thursday (April 21), saw the 37-year-old female suspect shouting while holding a metal rod outside a house in Taman Setia Jaya here.

       He said several people from the house went out and tried to calm the woman, who was their neighbour, coaxing her to go back home.

       "They were also worried that she might damage one of the cars parked in front of the house as she was flailing her arms while holding the metal rod.

       "The suspect became aggressive and angry when she realised that she was being recorded on a mobile device by a woman in the house.

       "The suspect then tried to attack the woman but was stopped by the other woman's husband and father," he said on Friday (April 22).

       As a result, the 41-year-old husband suffered from injuries to his nose and lip while the father, 65, suffered a black eye and two broken teeth.

       They were sent to Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail Batu Pahat for medical treatment, Supt Shahrulanuar Mushaddat added.

       He said the suspect and the woman who recorded the incident were not injured.

       "The suspect was subsequently arrested and remanded for five days until April 26 for investigation to find out the reason behind her actions," he added.
