IPOH: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is still undecided about the "big tent” concept proposed by Opposition parties for the 15th General Election (GE15), says its deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic).
He said Bersatu, which is part of the ruling government, would only make a decision after the idea was discussed by its supreme council.
"We have not discussed which camp to join – 'big' tent or 'small'. It's up to the supreme council when the time comes.

"Our partners in Perikatan Nasional will surely remain committed to be with us, especially in Peninsular Malaysia,” he told reporters at an event with the media and youth in conjunction with Ramadan here on Sunday (April 24).
Ahmad Faizal said Bersatu's main focus now was to strengthen its relations with PAS as the partnership was capable of continuing the struggle for religion, race and country and against abuse of power.
Pakatan Harapan component Parti Amanah Negara's (Amanah) deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub had been reported as saying that Opposition leaders should be gracious enough to forget past incidents to form a "big tent” to take on Barisan Nasional in GE15.

Party president Mohamad Sabu, however, had earlier stated that Pakatan would "not work with traitors who have betrayed the trust and mandate of the people."
He said in a statement on Tuesday (April 19) it was not possible for Pakatan to work under the big tent approach with parties in the ruling government such as Umno, Bersatu and PAS. – Bernama
