KOTA KINABALU: The number of Covid-19 cases in Sabah dropped to below 50 on Monday (April 25), registering 48 infections compared to 60 on Sunday (April 24).

State Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Masidi Manjun said this is the lowest daily figure recorded since March 30, 2021.

“All districts are stabilising with minimal changes in daily cases.

“Only Kota Kinabalu recorded double-digit infections at 21 cases, while the rest of the districts reported less than five new cases.

“In fact, there are no new infections (zero cases) in 11 districts,” he said in a statement on Monday.

Masidi attributed the low number of new cases to the effectiveness of vaccines as well as high standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance in the state.

“It is hoped this high discipline will be maintained especially when we celebrate Hari Raya soon,” he added.
