PETALING JAYA: Two teenage girls were killed after the motorcycle they were on went out of control and were hit by a lorry.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the victims, aged 15 and 11, died at the scene of the accident in Taman Medan here at about 8.54pm on Tuesday (April 26).
“We believe the rider lost control of the motorcycle.
“Their bodies were sent to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem,” he said on Wednesday (April 27).
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, he added.
“We are still investigating further to discover the cause of the accident,” he said.
ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin urged those who witnessed the accident or have information to contact traffic investigating officer Insp Rozilah Hussin at 016-267 9025 or any nearest police station.
