KUALA LUMPUR: Unisem (M) Bhd posted a net profit of RM50.69mil in the first quarter ended March 31, 2022, an 11.63% increase over the previous corresponding quarter.

       In a bourse filing, the semiconductor services company reported a 13.5% year-on-year improvement in revenue to RM424.45mil.

       According to the group "the improvement in revenue and net profit was mainly attributable to higher sales volume as well as improvement in average selling price".

       Earnings per share for the quarter was 3.14 sen compared to 2.87 sen in the previous comparative quarter.

       Moving forward, the group said it expects its performance to be satisfactory for the current financial year and the demand for its products and services to remain strong for the next financial quarter.
