KLANG: Selangor Barisan Nasional information chief Isham Jalil has hit out at Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor over an allegation made against him.

       In an entry on his Facebook account on Thursday (April 28), Isham demanded that PAS’ Muhammad Sanusi apologise to him within the next 48 hours.

       “As a Muslim, I have to give him a chance to redeem his sin or apologise.

       “Hence, I am giving Sanusi 48 hours to apologise to me and retract what he had stated, otherwise I will initiate a subsequent action,’’ said Isham.

       Muhammad Sanusi became subject to Isham’s ire after he had allegedly insinuated the latter cooked up a document pertaining to the leaked minutes taken down during a meeting between PAS leaders with their counterparts from several other parties.

       The Mentri Besar had told a press conference that he believed the damning documents were cooked up by cyber troopers of interested parties which would include Isham and that the Barisan information man was prone to constructing such documents.

       The documents revealed the plot, by those named in the discussion, to topple Umno and Barisan as well as to look into some court cases involving Umno leaders to expedite their sentencing.

       “If I wanted to plan something like that, I won’t write it down.

       “Only a stupid person will write it down and then distribute it to others to read,’’ Muhammad Sanusi had said.

       Meanwhile, Isham wrote in his Facebook post that he would lodge a police report first before suing Muhammad Sanusi.

       “No one is above the law in regards to defamation even if you are an ordinary person or a mentri besar,’’ he said.
