GOMBAK: The body of a man was found near Jalan Lama Gombak here.

       In a statement, Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said the 31-year-old victim is a Thai national and was identified by members of his family at the scene at Sungai Batu 12.

       "The victim stayed some 200m away from where his body was found and was last seen alive at 2am today.

       “Nothing suspicious was found when investigations were conducted at his house.

       "Based on physical checks, bruises were seen on the right side of his forehead, as well as on his left eye. It is believed that he fell or slipped into the river based on the injuries sustained," he said.

       As of now, the case has been classified as sudden death, pending a postmortem.
