MARANG: A Form Four student died while undergoing cross-country training near here on Tuesday (May 10).
Marang district police chief Deputy Supt Mohd Zain Mat Deris said the student, identified as Aman Basri Muhd Rohaizi, 16, was said to have fainted and fallen during the training at about 8.30am.
Some of his schoolmates attempted to revive him, but his condition worsened and the teacher on duty took him to the Pengkalan Berangan clinic where a doctor pronounced him dead.
DSP Mohd Zain said in a statement there were some cuts on the right eyebrow of the deceased as well as scratches under his chin and on his left hand, believed to have been sustained when he fell.
He said physical examination of the victim did not find any signs of foul play and police had classified the case as sudden death. – Bernama
