PETALING JAYA: Former Telok Mas assemblyman Noor Effandi Ahmad, who was sacked from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, has joined Parti Amanah Negara.
Noor Effandi was a Melaka executive councillor in the administration of Sulaiman Md Ali until he and three other assemblymen withdrew support for the chief minister last October, triggering the state election.
He was later sacked by Bersatu and did not contest in the Melaka polls in November.
State Amanah chairman Adly Zahari, who was the Melaka chief minister during Pakatan Harapan's rule, announced on his Facebook on Wednesday (May 18) that Noor Effandi and a Bersatu member, Afiq Nordin, have joined Amanah.
