SEREMBAN: A 17-year-old student was killed after his motorcycle collided with a lorry in an accident along Jalan Tunku Kurshiah here.

       The deceased, a student of SMK Dato' Hj Redza near here, was believed to have been heading towards Jalan Sikamat when the accident occurred at around 8.45am.

       Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Nanda Maarof said preliminary investigations revealed that the accident happened after the deceased ran a red light.

       He then collided with the right side of the lorry and died on the spot due to serious head injuries.

       His remains were sent to Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar for a post-mortem.

       The case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
