NEW DELHI, June 15 (Xinhua) -- India's overall exports and imports (including merchandise and services) rose during May, figures from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed on Wednesday.
India's overall exports in May were estimated to be around 62.21 billion U.S. dollars, with the merchandise exports reaching 38.94 billion dollars, growing 24.03 percent and 20.55 percent year on year, respectively.
Meanwhile, the estimated value of services exports in May was 23.28 billion dollars, increasing 30.32 percent compared to last year.
The overall imports in May were estimated to be 77.65 billion dollars, an increase of 59.19 percent over May 2021.
India's overall exports during April-May were estimated to be 124.59 billion dollars, exhibiting a growth of 25.90 percent year on year.
The overall imports during the same period were estimated to be 151.89 billion dollars, an increase of 45.44 percent compared with last year.
