A man was shot and killed Saturday night in Fairfax County, police said.

       The victim was shot in a car parked in the 8000 block of Seaton Street, in the southeastern part of the county, near the Route 1 corridor, according to a preliminary police account.

       He was taken to a hospital, where he died, they said.

       Police said the attackers reportedly were in a vehicle. They drove from the scene after the shooting, police said.

       The site is a residential street about a half-mile east of Route 1.
