Argentina: Woman misses serious injury in two-car crash

An Argentine woman has narrowly avoided major injury or worse when two cars crashed at a crossroads in La Plata, Argentina, on Wednesday (July 19).

Surveillance camera footage showed the moment the two vehicles crashed at the crossroads, nearly hitting a woman crossing the street in downtown La Plata, which is 50 kilometres from Buenos Aires.

The horrific footage shows the pedestrian attempting to hide herself with her hands throughout the accident as the two cars were driven in different directions, one of which collided with a bus.

Emergency personnel and onlookers acted quickly to help the woman and the other drivers involved in the crash.

Fortunately, no one suffered significant injuries, according to local authorities.

Traffic camera footage captured the movement of the woman walking casually across the junctions reaching the middle island.

Just as the woman reached the midway point two cars enter the junction at high speed and clip on another with both entring an uncontrolled skid.

Amazingly the cars split and pass either side of the woman who is left shaken but unharmed.

One of the cars goes on to hit a bus on the other side of the road while the other comes to a stop opposite.
