Prince William and Charles grew closer after Megxit says Palmer

       King Charles and Prince William could "clash" after two important dates fall on the same day.

       On Thursday, it was announced that Charles will take part in his first State Opening of Parliament as King and was finally allowed to sit behind his mother's desk.

       Charles stepped in for the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 when she was feeling unwell.

       But the date - set for November 7 - clashes with Prince William and Princess Kate's visit to Singapore to attend the Earthshot Prize ceremony.

       According to royal expert Daniela Elser, this is "the latest instance of William getting one over his dear old dad".

       Writing for news.com.au, she said: "Ask yourself, if you were a newspaper or website editor, what picture would you want to use: a photo of Charles looking dead-serious and ruddy-faced while Camilla has that slightly glazed look in her eyes like she’s trying to remember if they cracked a window in the State Coach for their Jack Russells? Or a lovely shot of the prince and princess with the latter no doubt looking her usual marvellous, sparkly self?

       "While this snafu is neither Charles nor William’s fault, simply a cruel twist of the timetabling gods, that does not change the fact that when this all plays out, it will likely be only the latest instance of William getting one over his dear old dad."

       Some experts said the Prince and Princess of Wales "stole the show" on King Charles and Queen Camilla's Coronation day.

       Over the weekend, their media team released a series of images and videos showcasing the lead up to the event.

       On June 17, King Charles took part in his first Trooping the Colour after being crowned.

       Prince William gave an in-depth interview to the Times's Roya Nikkhah on the same weekend where he pledged to end homelessness and released a shot of him surrounded by children.

       But with his birthday falling four days later, many put the timing down to that.

       The Earthshot Prize is awarded to five winners each year for their contributions to environmentalism. It was first awarded in 2021 and is planned to run annually until 2030.
