Anmer Hall is the ideal spot for Kate, Princess of Wales, Prince William, and their three children to escape to the countryside.

The Georgian property was gifted to the couple as a wedding gift by the late Queen Elizabeth II and has since become their go-to staycation destination.

With panoramic views of the sprawling gardens and evergreen lawns, the quintessentially British mansion has served as the setting of many family memories.

And this year, the family of five are likely to pay the estate another visit. The 10-bedroom retreat is more sizeable than their modest four-bedroom home, Adelaide Cottage, and is located on the Sandringham Estate which was loved by the late Queen.

Before their annual trip to Balmoral in Scotland, the couple may stick to tradition and make Anmer Hall their first stop this summer.

The property is known for its red brick exterior with period features including wood-frame doorways and white sash windows.

A neat driveway leads up to the family home, where the royal Range Rovers are often seen parked up.

On the grounds of the estate, an extensive tree-planting programme has afforded the family more privacy during their visits which is a luxury they may not have at their London properties.

Little is known about the inside, which is purposely kept very private, but its contemporary interiors are a testament to Kate's "accessible style choices", a style advisor previously told Express.co.uk.

The Princess of Wales previously shared a glimpse of the kitchen at the Norfolk home, where she was spotted baking with young Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Complete with classic white-wood cupboards and dark stone countertops, the traditional design is in keeping with the period status of the house.

And in the absence of old detailing and royal red fabrics found at Windsor Castle, the property appears to be a more relaxed environment for the family to unwind.

Photographs of Kate, William, George, Charlotte and Louis at the property show the cosy vibe of the home, as well as their love for being outdoors.

One image of the family perched on a hay bale in front of stacked-up fire logs shows them in casual autumn clothing, all with beaming smiles on their faces.

A Wendy house on the gardens of the estate no doubt offers hours of fun for the young children to play outdoors, along with acres of cultivated land to run around in.
