Times Radio: Royal fans give view on Harry and Meghan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "want different things" as Meghan plans on becoming a "Hollywood power player" while Harry is less keen on the Los Angeles lifestyle, according to a royal expert.

Friends of the couple have vehemently denied claims their relationship is in trouble, with one telling Bazaar.com that the claims were "complete garbage" and another speaking to Page Six saying the story was "literally made up".

However back in April, Meghan signed with top Hollywood talent agency William Morris Endeavour (WME) and according to reports has set up shop in a nearby hotel suite to plan her next move.

Harry is said to be less happy with living in California than Meghan, who grew up in LA with her mother Doria Ragland and only spent a couple of years living in the UK.

Some have suggested that Harry may be travelling to Africa to work on a new project with Netflix in line with his charity work, weeks after the Sussexes other major deal with Spotify was terminated.

Royal reporter Kinsey Schofield told GB News that the Duchess "has her eyes set on bigger opportunities", although she has not yet announced any new projects with her agency.

Ms Schofield said: "One of the rumours is that Meghan has set up shop in a hotel suite across from her agency William Morris Endeavour and that she has her eyes set on bigger opportunities.

"She wants to be a power player in Hollywood and this is not the direction that Harry has any desire to go."

She added: "He doesn't like the pursuits of Hollywood, according to some of these reports. I want to stress that people close to Harry and Meghan allegedly have told Page Six that these rumours aren't true.... one of the rumours is that Meghan has her eyes set on bigger opportunities...

"I can't imagine what it's like to have so much pressure on you. The entire world is watching and they have had a lot of failures professionally over the last few years and that's going to create tense stress in their household."

Recently the Sussexes have put on a united front as they came out in support of the State of the World's Fathers report by the Equimundo Center for Masculinities and Social Justice.

Harry and Meghan have said their foundation Archewell will be backing the charity, which centres around fatherhood and the care work that fathers do.

State of the World’s Fathers 2023 report has called for continued advancements towards gender equality and emphasises the need for media representation that normalises men’s caregiving roles.

The report, which was conducted across 17 countries and surveyed thousands of men and women, found that men are "increasingly involved in caregiving and would like to increase their care work at home, although deeply ingrained social norms and a lack of supportive policies and power structures discourage them from doing so".
