       KUWAIT CITY, July 22: The State of Kuwait has strongly condemned and expressed its denunciation regarding a recent incident in Copenhagen, Denmark, where a group of extremists burned a copy of the Holy Quran. This provocative action has intensified feelings of hatred and extremism, deeply offending the sentiments of millions of Muslims worldwide.

       In an official press statement issued on Saturday, the Kuwaiti Ministry urged the government of Denmark to take responsibility for countering the underlying reasons behind this disgraceful act. It called for immediate action to implement necessary legal measures that can effectively prevent such irresponsible and disrespectful behaviors targeting the sacred symbols and sanctities of the Muslim community. The Ministry emphasized the importance of holding the perpetrators accountable swiftly and preventing them from exploiting freedom of opinion and expression to insult the genuine Islamic religion, as well as other divine faiths.

       Furthermore, the Ministry reiterated its appeal to the international community to unite in their efforts to address these hateful acts. It emphasized the need to enact legislation and laws that criminalize insults against religions, advocating for adherence to relevant international covenants, including the recent resolution of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which aims to combat religious hatred.
