A British pensioner has been found dead on the side of a Turkish road after being reported missing at the start of the week.

       The unnamed 74-year-old was discovered unresponsive at the side of a road in a wooded area near the Asmaca district of Antalya.

       Emergency services rushed to the scene to attend to the woman but she was pronounced dead upon their arrival.

       A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out by coroners at the local morgue later this week.
