Describing the documentary as 'powerful", PR expert Carla Speight claims that Prince Harry's five-episode series offers the public everything they used to love about the Duke of Sussex - before he began "mudslinging" the press.

Claiming that this could be a turning point for both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the expert, from a PR perspective, said that Harry has shown glimpses of his old self in his first solo project for the streaming service.

The expert added: "They both are in a powerful position to make real change and this docuseries really makes it clear that they are keen to show the world what’s important, rather than encourage more speculation and mudslinging.

"I think this will do both of them the world of good to continue the good work in a public setting such as utilising their Netflix deal to really highlight important issues."

Heart of Invictus, which follows a group of competitors in the Invictus Games, is the couple's third release through the lucrative deal.

Ms Speight told the Mirror: "These powerful words over harrowing images of soldiers training, crying, focusing, celebrating and crowds cheering really drive home that this docu-series is about the Invictus Games and the stories within that only."

Despite the full focus being on the Games, she added that just enough of Harry's personal touch comes through.

She said: "In this docuseries, it’s clear that his mother’s kindness and care for those less fortunate has rubbed off on him.

"He found that in common with Meghan, who’s also been a keen campaigner for women and those less fortunate too."

She added: "It would have been more beneficial to Prince Harry and Meghan [Markle] to have started their partnership with Netflix using this documentary rather than be sucked into the games of getting their side across in the mudslinging games via the press and media."

The couple signed their multi-million-pound deal with Netflix in 2020, shortly after making the decision to step down as working royals.

The Invictus Games has been a huge part of Harry's life over the past nine years, having founded it in 2014.

It is an international multi sport event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans of the army.
