THOSE living in a quaint seaside village have slammed Hollywood A-listers for snapping up properties.

       Residents in Mawgan Porth, four miles north of Newquay, say an influx of 'out of touch' million-pound homes have been built.

       Susan Schofield, 65, told the Daily Mail she was fed up of dealing with complaints about the smell from posh visitors.

       Susan, who's farmed land in the area since 1973, added: "They don't seem to have any idea that this is the countryside.

       "I have had complaints when I put cows in my field because people don't like the smell or they expect to be able to walk across my land whenever they want."

       Margaret Behr, 64, says the climbing number of second-home owners have left her feeling lonely in the winter.

       She said: "As soon as there is a hint of anyone selling a property developers swoop in and offer more than any local can afford."

       Cornwall is the post popular destination in the UK for a second home, according to census data.

       Some 6,080 holiday homes are used by 14,230 people.

       Anthony Fuller, 93, complained the new square homes are "not appropriate for the area".
