A TEACHER who felt up his female pupils and let them plait his hair has been banned for life.
Steven Alcorn, 53, was found to have been sexually motivated when he engaged in “inappropriate physical contact”.

Alcorn, who taught at Eastwood Academy in Southend from 2014 until he was suspended in 2018
A tribunal heard he touched the thighs, backs and hands of five girls.
He would also knock pencil cases off desks so other pupils would bend over to pick them up.
In classes Alcorn called girls “babe”, “honey” and “darling”.
And on a residential trip he let female pupils plait his hair.

Alcorn, who taught at Eastwood Academy in Southend from 2014 until he was suspended in 2018, claimed some of his actions were in “jest”.
But the Teaching Regulation Agency disciplinary panel found him guilty of serious sexual misconduct and banned him from the classroom for life.
