Police had followed a "trail of blood" to Cheng's home in Liverpool where a stand-off ensued.
She originally claimed she was stabbed in the leg by Dylan, who then "killed himself because he didn't want to go to prison”.
But Cheng sobbed as she was unanimously convicted of murder today following a trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
In bodycam footage shown to jurors, Cheng could be heard screaming at officers: "If you’re gonna shoot me, shoot me.

Cheng then continued screaming as she told police: "I don’t give a f***. Kill me now".
When police eventually entered the blood-covered home, she was led away naked from the waist down.
As a wound on her leg was treated, Cheng told officers: "I’m a nice girl I’ve done nothing wrong.”

The horror unfolded on March 14 last year after Dylan spent the day drinking with Cheng and her granddad at the Old Swan pub.
The pair then continued on to her home where he was stabbed by Cheng eight times in the head and torso.
Giving evidence, the killer accepted she inflicted the fatal wounds but said she couldn't remember what had happened.
The court was told her DNA was found on a swab taken from Dylan, while his DNA was inside the bra she was wearing.
Cheng said she has no recollection of having sex with Dylan but claimed she wouldn't have consented as he "wasn't my type".
She added: "If he would have had sex with me, that would have been the thing that caused me to go off me head and the straw that broke the camel's back.
"If someone followed me to my home, come in and did that, that would have really made me lose it."
Cheng was remanded into custody ahead of sentencing on Friday.
Dave Brunskill, Head of the Homicide Support Unit, said: "Firstly, I would like to convey that our thoughts are very much with Dylan’s family. It has been heart-breaking for them to relive his final moments during this trial.

WRONG-FOOTED My daughter was forced to wear small shoes at school - now she's in agony
“As the jury heard, Dylan’s tragically died at the hands of Cheng and she pleaded not guilty to his murder. This prolonged the agony for his family who had to endure a month-long trial hearing about the events of that fatal night.
"Nothing will bring Dylan back to them, but I hope that this conviction will give his family a sense of justice.”
