       More than 2,100 people have been killed and more than 2,400 injured in the earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday evening.

       As rescuers sift through the rubble in hopes of finding survivors, here’s how to aid victims of the 6.8-magnitude earthquake, the largest to hit the area in over a century.

       The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which has a Morocco-based arm, is accepting donations for its Disaster Relief Emergency Fund. The IFRC said it has disbursed 1 million Swiss francs (more than $1.1 million) to support the Moroccan Red Crescent Society. You can donate here.

       GlobalGiving, a U.S.-based nonprofit agency that raises money for other nonprofits in areas of need, is raising money for victims. It says the funds will be used to provide food, water and medicine to survivors, as well as to provide shelter and temporary housing, among other things. Donate here.

       World Central Kitchen is using helicopters and 4x4 vehicles to reach hard-hit communities across the disaster area, providing sandwiches, fruit and water. Another team is on the way with food trucks and kitchen equipment to make fresh meals. Donate here.

       Doctors Without Borders, which provides medical care and equipment to areas in need, said it has deployed teams of its medical staff to Morocco. It is accepting donations here.

       UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, is accepting financial donations to provide emergency support for children and families.

       Islamic Relief USA, a faith-based nonprofit that donates regardless of recipients’ religion, is accepting donations here.

       C?ur de Gazelles, a small nonprofit that works with the Moroccan government, is supplying victims with blankets, mattresses, tents and other essentials. Christine Lagarde, the president of the European Central Bank, said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that she knew from personal experience that the organization is reputable and “doing good work.” You can donate in euros here.

       The British Red Cross is seeking donations explicitly for victims of the earthquake. You can donate in British pounds here.

       Human Appeal, a U.K.-based nonprofit, is accepting donations here in British pounds.
