We had just a little bit of rain this morning but clouds lingered in the eastern parts of the area in particular. As northwest winds asserted themselves through the afternoon, skies trended clearer, and humidity began to drop. It’ll be rather nice this evening and increasingly so into Tuesday.

Through Tonight: Any clouds will diminish with sundown and it will be clear tonight. Lows will range from the mid-50s to near 60. Some patchy fog may develop by dawn near the water. Winds will be from the north around 5 mph after dark.

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Gorgeous. It will be sunny like this afternoon, but for the full day. Temperatures will try for the upper 70s as winds blow from the north around 10 mph.

The end of 80s: Tuesday is be the last day of the year with an average high of 80 in Washington until May 28. By the end of the month, we’ve lost another 5 degrees for average highs. Going into the rest of the year, that average high of 75 at the end of September drops about 10 degrees per month through the end of December. Winter is coming.
