As our average highs dip into the mid-60s, we kicked off a warm streak in style today. It should last until the beginning of next week before some chillier air comes roaring in to open November. In the meantime, it’ll eventually be feeling more like late summer than mid-fall around here.

Through tonight: With winds now turned to the south, it’ll be warmer than last night. Mid-40s to near 50 for lows. Winds are rather light after dark.

Tomorrow (Wednesday): Mainly sunny skies are the rule. Looks like mid- to upper 70s for highs. Winds should blow from the west and southwest around 10 mph.

Augtober: Record highs are not yet under major threat, but we could end up having them in play a couple of days later this week. Thursday through Saturday could all be around or above 80, with Sunday potentially joining in as well.
Thursday’s record is 82 in 1978. Friday’s record is 83 in 1963. Saturday’s record is 87 in 1919.
