POLICE searching for a schoolgirl who vanished while walking her dog this afternoon say she's been found "safe and well".

       Young Brooke, nine, was last seen around 3.30pm, walking a merle-coloured pocket bully pup on the streets of South Wales.

       Cops say she was last seen wandering along Union Place, Ferndale.

       Brooke is described as 4ft tall with long brown curly shoulder-length hair.

       The youngster was last seen wearing a dark green coat with fur around the hood and bright pink and white spotty trousers.

       But luckily, six hours later, South Wales Police said Brooke had been found.

       In a Facebook post the cops said the nine-year-old had been found "safe and well".
