       A man was shot and killed in Northwest Washington on Tuesday night, the D.C. police said.

       The victim was found fatally wounded near 14th and Buchanan streets NW, said Sgt. Antonio McKnight, a police spokesman. The man’s name was not immediately available, and nothing could be learned about any motive or suspect.

       The site is in a mixed commercial and residential neighborhood in the 16th Street Heights area. It is about a half-mile east of the edge of Rock Creek Park.
