Forecast in detail
Our early week gully washer has rushed out to sea, leaving behind a cold and windy wake, but at least allowing sunshine to return. The other good news is that we’ll stay dry for several days in a row as temperatures hover near normal. The weekend is also looking mostly dry, but some cloud cover and a light shower chance remain.
Today (Tuesday): An early day snow flurry or sprinkle is possible, but otherwise, we see mostly sunny skies and a biting wind. Highs are slightly below normal in the upper 30s and low 40s, but gusty breezes offer wind chills frequently in the chilly 20s and 30s. Winds hound us from the northwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts at times up to 35 mph. Confidence: High

The weekend leading into Christmas looks fairly reasonable with no significant concerns. We have a slight chance of a light shower late Saturday or early Christmas Eve, but that is about all. Otherwise, look for partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies with highs from the mid-40s to low 50s. Lows range through the 30s. An early look at Christmas Day favors partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium
