PETALING JAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah on Wednesday (Jan 17) presented three news items during the 10-minute session called "Buletin Diraja" on TV3's prime time news Buletin Utama.

Their Majesties kicked off the session with a strong message of unity, which they said can be achieved through multiple ways, such as food and sports.

The first report featured interviews with members of the public who said they would like to see all Malaysians be undivided, just like during a football match.

It also featured an interview with National Professors Council chairman Professor Datuk Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin, who highlighted the harmony between all races even during a heated election campaign.

"Our success in unifying everyone has been possible due to one speciality, the Malaysian mould. We can agree to disagree and will always find ways to find common ground.

"Our strength lies in our ability to give and take. Even during election time, we don't see violence in Malaysia," Shamsul Amri said.

For the second news item, Their Majesties reported on one of the issues close to their hearts - the contribution of Ikan Patin to Pahang's economy and tourism activities.

It featured an interview with a fisherman at Sungai Tembeling in Temerloh who said the clean water at the river is one of the main reasons the Ikan Patin there became famous.

"We have different types of Ikan Patin here, and the prices range between RM130 and RM500 per kilogram. The river water is clean, which is why Ikan Patin at Sungai Tembeling is so unique," the fisherman said.

As for the third and last news item, Their Majesties read a report about their visit to the Sri Pentas Bandar Utama here while trying to hide their cheeky smiles.

"Their Majesties were given a corporate brief by the Media Prima's management, followed by a visit to the Radio City. They even went live with the DJs at Hot FM," Al-Sultan Abdullah said.

Soon after the report, Tunku Azizah jokingly said: "Eh muka macam kenal je (Their faces look familiar)," referring to clips of them both together at Sri Pentas, followed by laughter by the two of them.

In concluding the Buletin Diraja report, Their Majesties expressed their thanks to the Media Prima management for giving them a meaningful day.
