QUETTA: Mir Asadullah Baloch, the president of Balochistan National Party-Awami, has pledged to establish additional medical and engineering colleges, in line with his party’s election manifesto, to improve educational initiatives in Panjgur and other regions of Makran division,

During a campaign gathering in Panjgur town in Makran division on Saturday, he emphasised that the right to vote was a profound responsibility to the motherland. He urged the public to exercise their voting rights judiciously, cautioning against individuals who make false promises and attempt to deceive the people, particularly those who have been distant from public service.
At the event, a significant number of individuals, including political activists, announced their decision to join BNP-Awami, resigning from other political affiliations. Mr Baloch welcomed these new members into his party.
“Leaders lead their people and the region towards development by giving a better direction,” said Mr Baloch, who remained a provincial minister in different cabinets during the previous Balochistan governments.
He said that his party’s politics is based on honesty and providing service to the public.
“The manifesto is centered on serving our people and intensifying our efforts, leading to significant relief for the underprivileged,” he said, highlighting the positive impact of the Balochistan Awami Endowment Fund, a initiative he launched during his tenure as the minister for social welfare, which provided treatment to hundreds of people grappling with severe, life-threatening diseases. He also said that education is the fastest way to develop a country.
Mr Baloch said that more efforts would be made to resolve the issues of education, health, agriculture, unemployment and poverty in the rural areas of Panjgur which are suffering from poverty and backwardness in all aspects and provide relief to the people in terms of basic needs after coming to power.
