Workers at 10 South Colonnade in Canary Wharf were informed
It comes after the critters invaded public transport, cafes, hotels, cinemas and homes across France at the end of last year.
Ministry of Justice officials were warned the bed bugs could spread to the floor below.
Signs have been put up in the block by the Government Property Agency to warn workers, according to The Mirror.
The posters read: "We believe that the infestation is due to 'Bed Bugs' and is currently confined to the fourth floor only.

"Whilst these insects are not normally associated with office environments, both GPA and our supply partners have experience in dealing with these situations.
"We are carrying out a treatment on the fourth floor this week, which will be repeated every five to seven days, over a four-week period.
"As the areas will need to be vacated for up to five hours all treatments will be carried out-of-hours."
They add: "As this pest may migrate around the building, as a precaution for the rest of the building we will be conducting a survey of the whole building.

"This will be carried out by a specially trained dog, which is able to identify bed bugs and more importantly where the bed bugs are situated in the building."
Workers have also been advised to visit the NHS website for information on bed bugs.
A government spokesperson said: "A treatment was applied to a small section of the office outside of working hours after concerns were raised.
"A subsequent inspection found no evidence of infestation.
"This treatment has not impacted the ability of staff to work in the building today.
"We will continue to monitor the building and take appropriate action."
The critters are oval, flat, brownish-red in colour and around the size of an apple pip.
They need regular blood intake to survive.
Humans are not their only target — they attack any warm-blooded animals, including birds.

Bites tend to be small, red and itchy but the critters are not always easy to spot.
Often they are only discovered when it is too late, which can mean having to fumigate property and replace furniture.
What kills bed bugs instantly?
There are many ways you can get rid of or prevent bed bugs coming into your house.
Here are some ways of killing bed bugs instantly:
Being exposed to direct heat - If you find bed bugs on your bedding, put them straight into the washing machine and the heat will kill them. Vacuum them up - If you get your vacuum out as soon as you see the bugs then they will most likely die when you suck them up, but make sure to carry the vacuum outside straight away. Steam - If you have a steamer to hand, steam your sheets right away and the heat will kill the bed bugs. Rubbing alcohol - Among one of the most popular ways of getting rid of bed bugs is using rubbing alcohol. If you dilute some with water and use a spray bottle, the bugs will die almost instantly. White vinegar - You can use white distilled vinegar on the edges of infested areas and spray it on the critters directly. However, it needs to be in direct contact with the critters and will only work on adult bugs. Professional treatment - If you want your bed bugs gone once and for all you may need to call in a professional. They will have all the appropriate chemicals and tools to eradicate the issue.
