A Labour shadow minister has been attacked for releasing a list of developments she wants to see in the Middle East, that did not include the release of the around 130 Israeli hostages still being held by Hamas terrorists.
Lyn Brown MP, who represents West Ham in east London, published a four-point list on X outlining her "position", calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
The list called for the formal establishment of a Palestinian state but failed to mention the innocent Israelis taken into Gaza by Hamas on October 7.
Her list also demanded "absolutely no attack on Rafah", the southern Gazan city that has seen around half of the Strip's population seek refuge in it. Israel is said to be planning to enter the city in an attempt to flush out Hamas.

As well as calling for "an immediate ceasefire" Ms Brown also demanded "full humanitarian access" to the Gaza Strip. Labour's official position is now in favour of an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire", with their policy having "evolved" according to Shadow Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
The party previously had resisted demands from some to call for a cessation of fighting.
Following Ms Brown's posts on X, political commentator Dan Hodges responded dryly, saying: "Pretty sure there’s something missing from this list of demands…"
Another commented: "Did you forget about releasing the hostages?"
While a third said: "No call for hostages to be released in your list. Stay classy Lyn."

Around 30 minutes after her posting the list of demands which left out any mention of the hostages, Ms Brown shared a separate Labour list calling for "the release of all hostages".
She also posted on X: "I support Labour's comprehensive motion for an immediate ceasefire and a pathway to a two state peace."
However, her own list which carries a picture of her remains online.
