The 27-year-old suspect allegedly began chatting up the victim as she drank in the bar with friends in July last year.
But when she went to the loo he followed her and brutally attacked her, according to local media.
The young Brit described the alleged attack as the "worst experience of her life" and told police at the time: "Suddenly he was on top of me and I saw his trousers down.
"There wasn't my consent at all. I didn't give my consent."

After the attack, the traumatised holidaymaker went to hospital and reported the incident to police who began an investigation.
Although she returned to England, she cooperated in providing DNA evidence and continued to help police track down her attacker, reports local media.
She returned to Italy in December to prosecutor Mariangela Magariello and deputy prosecutor Raffaello Falcone with further statements and identification.
Her persistence paid off when police arrested the barman on March 3.
