KUALA LUMPUR: The Ops Ihsan Main Secretariat has condemned Israel's latest air strike on the Al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, which reportedly killed at least seven Palestinians who were waiting to get food aid.

       Ops Ihsan Main Secretariat chairman Jismi Johari said according to Palestinian health officials, the incident happened when workers were making preparations to begin distributing basic necessities, including food packs sent by Ops Ihsan.

       "However, the Israeli military seems unwilling to accept responsibility for the attack," he said in a statement on Friday (March 15).

       Jismi said the Secretariat strongly condemned the Zionist regime for its inhumane action as the attack happened at a time when Palestinians were struggling to get food for their survival.

       The Secretariat also urged the international community to continue pressuring Israel to stop its atrocities against the Palestinian people in Gaza and to immediately withdraw its troops.

       Jismi said the five-month-old Gaza conflict had displaced a majority of the 2.3 million population and the people now had to scramble for food because of extreme hunger. - Bernama
