Business premises of vendor embroiled in socks controversy halts operations

       BATU PAHAT: The premises of the vendor company embroiled in the socks controversy is closed, with no indication when it will reopen.

       A banner, which displays an apology message, can be seen on the main gate of Xin Jian Chang Sdn Bhd's premises in the Sri Gading industrial area in Batu Pahat, Johor on Wednesday (March 20).

       However, there was no sign of activity within the premises, which does packaging and distribution of goods.

       The banner states that the company sincerely apologises for its unintended mistake that led to the sock issue.

       It also stated its commitment to be more aware of the community's religious sensitivities, protect harmony and to ensure better quality control.

       It also stated another apology to the people of Malaysia.

       This comes after the management issued an apology statement on Tuesday (March 20).
