KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest Holdings Bhd, via its subsidiary Solarvest Energy Sdn Bhd, has been appointed by Gentari Renewables Sdn Bhd to install solar power systems at over 300 PETRONAS stations in Malaysia.

       In a statement, the group said the project is aimed to commence in April 2024, and will see the installation of more than 5.4 MWp of solar capacity across more than 300 PETRONAS stations.

       Gentari Renewables is a subsidiary of Gentari Sdn Bhd, a unit of PETRONAS focused on delivering clean energy solutions

       According to Solarvest, the solar systems are expected to be operational by 2027.

       Once energised, they are estimated to offset around 5,035 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

       Solarvest executive director and group CEO Davis Chong Chun Shiong said businesses are embracing renewable energy solutions like solar PV systems to drive sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
