KUALA LUMPUR: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of award from Persada Mentari Sdn Bhd for piling and earthworks at a service apartment at Tanjung Pinang in Pulau Pinang for RM33.19mil.

       Persada Mentari is an indirect subsidiary company of Eastern & Oriental Bhd, a company which certain directors and major shareholders of Kerjaya Prospek have direct and indirect interests.

       In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kerjaya Prospek said the job entails the completion of the foundation piling system and pile caps, the construction of a basement and two levels of lower ground and all associated site works and earthworks.

       The contract will commence on June 17, 2024, and is to be completed within 12 months.

       The group said the contract is expected to provide an additional stream of revenue for the group over the next one year.
