PETALING JAYA: The latest police transfer and promotion exercise will see a switch between the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) operations section director and the current Terengganu police chief.

       In a statement yesterday, police secretary DCP Alzafny Ahmad said DCP Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairudin would take over as Terengganu police chief, while DCP Datuk Mazli Mazlan would take over the former’s position at Nadma.

       Cheras police chief Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin is set to be promoted to Senior Asst Comm and will take on the role of commandant at Maktab Teknik Bakri in Muar, Johor.

       ACP Ravindar Singh Sarban Singh, who is currently attached to the Bukit Aman Management Department’s administration division, will take over as the new Cheras police chief.

       Perak state Commercial Crimes Investigations Department (CCID) chief Supt Hasbullah Abd Rahman will be promoted to ACP and take over as the Selangor state CCID chief.

       Sentul deputy police chief Supt Heisham Harun has been appointed as the new police chief of Kuala Kangsar, in addition to being promoted to the rank of ACP.

       All transfers and promotions will take effect on May 6.
