A pretty city has been revealed as one of the cheapest in Europe - and has hardly any tourists, making it the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

       Malm？ is Sweden’s third largest city and is just over the bridge from Denmark’s capital of Copenhagen.

       It will be the host of Eurovision 2024 next month and is a great alternative to the usual city-break destinations in Scandinavia, called one of the most eclectic cities in the region.

       The city boasts the perfect contrasting of the old and the new - and is jam-packed with Dutch-Renaissance buildings in the Old Town, as well as modern buildings along the waterfront.

       The city is packed with stuff for visitors to do, all at significantly lower prices than Stockholm, Gothenburg or nearby Copenhagen.

       TimeOut recommends nude swimming in the cold sea waters at Ribersborgs Kallbadhus for ￡6. There is an old-fashioned wooden structure with lots of tiny changing rooms, saunas and views over to Copenhagen.

       It also suggests visiting the Malm？ Museer, Moderna Museet and Teknikens och sj？fartens hus, a group of major museums. The ？resund Bridge to Copenhagen is the longest cable-tied road and rail bridge in Europe.

       There are also many parks and the Old Town (Gamla Staden) to explore, Malm？ Castle which dates back to 1530 and St Peter’s Church which dates back to 1380. The city also has hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths.

       Tripadvisor reviewers said that it is a "beautiful and trendy part of Sweden that's not overcrowded but still has lots of heritage". Others said that it was "ideal for all ages with plenty to see and do".

       The Malm？ weather is slightly milder than in the rest of Sweden. Located at the edge of the sea, it is a fairly windy city. But in general, you’ll find warm, pleasant summers and relatively temperate winters.

       Those wishing to visit Malm？ can fly into Copenhagen from airports across the UK and take a train, bus or taxi the 30-minute journey to Malm？.
