Sarah Ferguson left presenter Kate Thornton stunned when she revealed Lisa Marie Presley's final wish was sent in an email to the Duchess of York. The mother of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice made the startling admission in a new interview.
The podcast host said people were surprised the Duchess had such a close bond with Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie as they discussed Fergie's unlikely friendships with A-list celebrities. The late singer was the only daughter of the Caught In A Trap hitmaker and she sadly died in January last year from cardiac arrest.
Prince Andrew's former wife went on to reveal that one of Lisa's last wishes was for Sarah and Lisa's daughter, actress Riley Keough, to make a film about the life of Fergie.
Speaking on White Wine Question Time, host Kate commented: "People were unaware of your friendship until you spoke with such emotion at her funeral."
The Duchess of York gave a moving speech at Presley’s memorial and revealed the pair had been as close as sisters.

Sarah revealed before she married Prince Andrew the royal had been dating a Formula One businessman Paddy McNally, which admittedly allowed her to meet a lot of famous A-listers from Naomi Campbell to Bernie Ecclestone.
She described Lisa Marie as "my soul sister" before she opened up on the star's last wish.
"Me and [Lisa's daughter] Riley Keough are going to make a movie one day of my life soon," the Duchess revealed. "Lisa Marie's last dying wish was, 'please would you allow my daughter to make a movie about you.'"
She continued: "She sent it in an email to me. [Lisa] said she could not think of two better people she would want to be together. Isn't that sweet?
"I loved her with all my heart," Sarah concluded.

Kate gasped: "Wow. [Riley] is a stunning performer. So she wants to make a movie about you?"
Sarah remarked: "Well I don't know but Lisa Marie Presley thought it was a good idea. Lisa Marie and I were very, very, very close. We called each other sissy. She's very special to me."
Fergie's presence at Lisa's funeral surprised fans and at the time she told Page Six: “I think she’s with [her late son] Ben now,” noting that she believes Presley died of a broken heart following Ben’s death in 2020.
She added: “I think we need to make sure Finley, Riley, and Harper are fully supported going forward. She was so proud of them, so proud. She used to write to me saying, ‘Yeah, I’m really gushing at how wonderful my children are right now.’”
