A girl has been rushed to hospital after a man was found with stab wounds this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Monday to reports of the terrifying incident on Whernside, Carlisle.
Cumbria Police say they were called to the scene at 8.06am on June 10 where they found a man with stab wounds.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers attended and also located a woman and child with injuries. A woman in her 50s was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary with serious injuries.
"A girl was also taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary with serious injuries. A man in his 50s was taken to Cumberland infirmary with a stab wound and is described as stable."
There is no wider threat to the public and officers are asking member of the public to avoid the area whilst officers conduct their investigations.
