The Reform UK leader said his party is doing “very well” among teenagers, warning young men feel “emasculated” and that they are rallying behind people they believe in.

Highlighting his case, Mr Farage claimed young football fans who have followed Gareth Southgate’s side in Germany have been told not to drink more than “two pints” or chant during the games.

And he declared: "British politics will break up in the next five years".

Reform UK has been polling consistently alongside the Conservatives for several weeks, prompting warnings from Tory strategists that Nigel Farage will open the door to a Labour supermajority.

The Conservatives have argued only two men can be Prime Minister on Friday – Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer.

But Mr Farage declared: “I believe in five years’ time we will be serious challengers for Government.

“Success is many millions of votes and a bridgehead in Parliament. How big or small that is, I don’t know. But the important point for me is not just providing opposition to Starmerism in Parliament. It’s doing it in the country.

“Tomorrow is the first big step for Reform. We’ve got to professionalise it. We’ve got to democratise it. But that is what I intend to do.”

Asked what success will be tomorrow, Mr Farage wouldn’t confirm to the Daily Express how many seats he is targeting.

He added: “We know Labour are going to have a stonking majority. Parliament is where arguments are made, but it’s in the country that you change things. My track record has been to build up grassroot movements.

“25 years ago, I became an MEP and I used that to build UKIP into quite a significant force. We’ll do that again.”

Some polls have predicted Reform UK may win as many as 18 seats, though many surveys suggest they may just secure a handful. Mr Farage warned many of his candidates have a chance of winning in "three or four-way marginals".

       Trending

Mr Farage believes growing support among young voters can propel Reform UK to greater heights than UKIP or the Brexit Party.

And Sir Keir Starmer’s mooted plans to introduce the vote for 16 and 17-year-olds may open another door for Reform, Mr Farage said

He said: “I would do very well. I’m like the naughty uncle that tells jokes at Christmas that nobody is supposed to laugh at. A lot of young people are changing the way they look at the World. They are saying ‘I can’t get a house, if I get a job, half of what I earn will go on rent'.

“There’s an upwelling in patriotic feeling. There’s a shift from millennials to Gen Z of really quite big proportions. Maybe they find the other leaders a bit boring?”

Mr Farage suggested he was triggering a similar reaction among younger voters to that of controversial social media influencer, Andrew Tate, who has been accused of misogynistic views.

The Reform UK leader told reporters: “Andrew Tate has built a huge following.

“I think a lot of young men feel emasculated. Look at the football, they are told ‘go to Germany, please don’t drink more than two pints of beer, don’t chant at football matches.

“We’re trying to stop young men being young men.

“Maybe what I am doing is part of a similar phenomenon.

“The Football Association are putting out these messages ‘don’t chant at football matches. If I couldn’t drink and chant at a football match I wouldn’t go.”

The Brexit champion has declared he wants to effectively replace the Conservative Party, which he believes is too split to properly oppose a Labour Government.

Don't miss... Here's where Reform could edge the Tories, Lib Dems and Labour in the election

Analysing the UK’s political landscape, Mr Farage told reporters: "I mean there was effectively a coalition on the centre-right at the last General Election because I stood down and all those votes on the back of Brexit etcetera went to Boris.

“And you know, go back eight years, there was a vote for Brexit against the establishment telling us not to, so no, this idea you can win from the centre, well, Starmer's pitching for the centre, Rishi's pitching for the centre and I think British politics will break up in the next five years.

"I think there'll be a different electoral system and you won't even recognise it a few years down the road."

Asked whether Boris Johnson's return to frontline campaigning with the Conservative Party could affect Reform UK's performance, Mr Farage replied: "Irrelevant. Absolutely irrelevant.

"He's a busted flush. He's the reason they're in so much trouble.

“He's the man that got the 80-seat majority and it's not just being untruthful with Parliament and covering up the parties, it's actually you know policy-wise what he did has turned off a huge number of those 'red wall' voters, so yeah, Boris being back, I can promise you it's a short-term thing."

Mr Farage had earlier said: "Look, I don't think Boris brings any value to the Conservative campaign at all - they delude themselves. The reason they're in this trouble is he's the one that squandered the 80-seat majority."

He added: "Rishi Sunak says vote for the others and they're even worse than us. Keir Starmer says vote for change without telling us what the change would be. And we're saying the country needs to take a very different direction and actually I think our message and our contract is more optimistic than the other two put together."

Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman urged the Conservative Party to “read the writing on the wall” and “prepare for the reality and frustration of opposition”.

Polls suggest Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party is set for a big victory in Thursday’s General Election, and it is forecast to win more seats than it did in 1997.

Survation pollsters quizzed 34,558 respondents online and by phone and have said a Labour landslide of more than 418 seats – the number the party took under Tony Blair’s leadership 27 years ago – is “99% certain”.

Ms Braverman blamed the situation on a fracture within the Conservative Party resulting from a rise in Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.

She said: “It is notable that Labour’s vote share has not markedly increased in recent weeks, but our vote is evaporating from both Left and Right."
