A Tory MP had his Derbyshire office spray painted with offensive graffiti, prompting outrage from other members of the party.
Robert Largan, standing as a Tory candidate for High Peak, shared a photo of his office to social media after it was covered in red spray paint.

The windows of his Whaley Bridge office were covered in the words "Zionist" and "child killer", assumed to be about Israel's ongoing war in Gaza.
The post was quick to garner outraged responses, with Tamworth Tory Councillor Andy Cooper calling it "disgusting".
He replied: Disgusting and what’s worse is that I’m not shocked. Why do people think this is ok? This country needs a course correction and quick… this can’t go on."

Jon Pearce, standing as Labour's candidate for the same constituency, also voiced his disgust at the "vile" graffiti and called for the perpetrator to be prosecuted.
He wrote: "I’m so sorry to see this Robert. I hope you and all your staff are ok. It is absolutely vile and disgusting. I hope whoever did this is caught and prosecuted."
Largan has been the MP for High Peak since 2010 and Assistant Government Whip since 2022.
In June, Derbyshire police confirmed that they are reviewing claims of electoral fraud against him relating to "concerns around marketing material" after he shared images on social media mimicking other political parties.
He posted two images to X, one saying "Labour for Largan" and the other saying "Reform for Robert" in an attempt to win over voters from the respective parties.

A spokesman for Largan said: "As Mr Largan’s social media posts and website make abundantly clear, large numbers of traditional Labour voters have been contacting him to tell him they plan to vote for him, despite him being a Conservative candidate.

"The same goes for Reform supporters - this is because of Mr Largan’s strong record of delivery in the High Peak.
"Therefore, supporters clubs of traditional Labour and Reform voters have been set up, to allow people to tell Mr Largan that they’re supporting him. These are called Labour for Largan and Reform for Robert. Such supporters’ clubs are not a new phenomenon."
