Reform UK Chief Whip Lee Anderson has revealed his "dream" Conservative Party leader ahead of the party announcing the timetable for the contest to replace Rishi Sunak.
Speaking on GB News last night, Mr Anderson warned that the Tories must choose the “correct leader,” before admitting he doesn’t think the party will.

He predicted: “I think they’ll probably choose someone like Tom Tugendhat, who actually would be a dream ticket for me”.
Mr Anderson blasted the “wet” Tory, joking: “I tell you what, if they choose Tom or somebody like that, one of the wets in the Tory party, I'm going to order that new extension on my house. I'll be quids in”.
“I don’t hate Tom, I get on really, really well with him. Tom is a good man, but he's a liberal, he is a wet".

The plain-speaking Ashfield MP fumed: “He’s everything that's wrong with the Conservative Party”.
“The Conservative Party right from Number 10, right through to CCHQ needs to get a grip. They’ve not been Conservative. The country is crying out for a centre right party but the Conservative party at the moment have not been that.
“I love Priti [Patel], she's a good friend of mine, but look at Priti’s track record while she’s been in government: what is it?
Mr Anderson also revealed he would love to see Suella Braverman join Reform UK, and while she will run for the Tory leadership she won’t make it to the final two.
He told the broadcaster: “Suella Braverman is a good friend of mine. She ticks all my boxes and probably all the boxes of Reform UK”.
“I suspect she's going to go at some stage for the leadership of the Conservative Party. I would love to have her on board with the Reform UK party.”

The warning from Reform UK’s second most well-known MP came as the Conservative Party moves to finalise the leadership contest timeline for replacing Rishi Sunak.
Last night The Sun revealed that the influential 1922 Committee of Tory backbench MPs have settled on supporting a lengthy leadership contest.
MPs hope to use Tory conference as a “beauty parade” of the candidates before MPs whittle the hopefuls down to a final two and hold the vote in October.

This request will be put to the party board today.
It’s believed Tom Tugendhat will run after gathering a large amount of MP support, along with Kemi Badenoch, Priti Patel, Robert Jenrick, Suella Braverman and possibly James Cleverly.
It’s not known whether Rishi Sunak will continue as Leader of the Opposition until October.
