Nadine Dorries had some choice words for former Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis (Image: Getty)
Nadine Dorries has laid into Emily Maitlis, branding the former BBC Newsnight presenter "unhinged" and accusing her of "clearly hating" the Conservative Party.
It comes after the pair sparred on The News Agents, a news and politics podcast co-hosted by Maitlis, last month.

The broadcaster said at the time that Ms Dorries' dogged defence of ex-PM Boris Johnson over the House of Commons privileges committee probe into his knowledge of Covid-rule breaking parties in Downing Street "could sound quite unhinged to most people".
Ms Dorries has now fired back in an article for the Daily Mail, questioning the former BBC journalist's own sanity and saying she won't "tolerate being spoken to like that by a woman with an orange permatan to rival Donald Trump's — and who clearly hates the Conservatives with a loathing matched only by Angela 'Tory scum' Rayner".
The former culture secretary fumed: "I explained in no uncertain terms why I suspected that, if anyone was 'unhinged', it was the Kensington-dwelling Maitlis herself.

Her attack on Ms Rayner referred to comments the Deputy PM made in 2021, when she said: “We cannot get any worse than a bunch of scum, homophobic, racist, misogynistic, absolute vile … banana republic, vile, nasty, Etonian … piece of scum."
Ms Dorries and Maitlis also locked horns during Channel 4's election night coverage earlier this month.
As the night wore on, Maitlis, who was co-presenting with Krishnan Guru-Murthy, seemed to momentarily let her professional mask slip, casting a sharp glance at former Mid Bedfordshire MP that did not go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers.
In a moment of palpable tension, after Ms Dorries dodged questions about Mr Johnson's take on the Tories' lacklustre election performance, Maitlis turned away and her expression mirrored the frustration felt by many voters watching politicians sidestep questions.
The scene unfolded after Ms Dorries let slip that she had been exchanging texts with Mr Johnson during the live broadcast, leading the presenters to probe her on his thoughts regarding the party's historic defeat.

Yet Ms Dorries deftly changed the subject as she was asked: "Do you think that Boris Johnson will come back into the Conservative Party in some form?"
The ex-cabinet member replied by saying: "I'll just make the same point again, Reform..." before Maitlis interjected by saying: "Don't make the same point again!"
Maitlis pressed on, asking: "Is he saying: 'Well God get me away from this party,' or 'they need me and this is my case'?"

But Ms Dorries insisted "That's not the discussion," declining to comment further.
