       KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: The Al-Ujairi Scientific Center announced the summer season is entering its final stages with the start of the “calabin” season today. This period, lasting 13 days, marks the final phase of increasing solar temperatures before a transition to more moderate weather. In a statement to KUNA, the center explained that “calabin” is the sixth stage of summer according to desert Arab tradition and the seventh in the calendar of the sun and moon houses. During this season, the stormy winds known as “toxins” subside, and the Earth’s interior begins to cool. The term “calabin” refers to two stars located within the last group of the Canis Major constellation, known as the “Great Dog” in astronomy.

       The center noted that weather conditions will gradually moderate, particularly at night. As the days grow shorter, the length of daylight at the beginning of the season is 13 hours and 18 minutes, while nighttime extends to 10 hours and 41 minutes.
