Reform UK MP Lee Anderson has brutally mocked Sir Keir Starmer after his Labour Government's recent slump in the polls.

A poll from WeThink found that Labour dropped six points in the polls to 33 percent, still in the lead.

Meanwhile, Reform surged five points to 21 percent, leaving the Conservatives trailing behind in third with 20 percent.

Responding to the poll on X with just two words, Mr Anderson simply said: "Buyer's remorse."

He later added: “Eating into the Labour vote now. The People's Army is making advances every week.

Other Reform MPs have also celebrated their polling boost. James McMurdock said: “The climb continues!”

Rupert Lowe, the representative for Great Yarmouth, added: “Progress”, while the party’s chairman Zia Yusuf warned: “Reform’s momentum continues. We are just getting started.”

Earlier this week, the Prime Minister was forced to cancel a planned holiday following far-right riots that have swept across the UK in recent weeks.

A spokesperson for Sir Keir added: “The Prime Minister is not alone in this. We’ve seen many people over the course of the weekend, and over the disorder, having their leave cancelled to ensure that we can respond to the disorder."

A YouGov poll published earlier this week found that 49 percent of people think Sir Keir has handled the riots badly.

Just 31 percent of those surveyed said he was handling it well.

Conservative Party leadership hopefuls have taken aim at the Prime Minister this week.

Robert Jenrick accused Sir Keir of having “dithered and delayed” with his response while Shadow Home Secretary James Cleverly called for the government to be “much more proactive”

Director of Public Prosecutions Stephen Parkinson has warned that rioters could be charged under terrorism offences.

He told ITV: “If certain elements are in place, if behaviour of this kind is motivated by ideology or political persuasion, it’s designed to intimate the public, there’s an element of planning, we will definitely consider terrorism offences and those can result in even stiffer sentences."
