The allegation levelled against the Prime Minister followed reports his former chief of staff Sue Gray may have been pushed out of No 10 by male advisers.
Sir Keir had also been accused of having a woman problem by the former Labour MP Rosie Duffield, who quit the party last month.
Ms Haigh said: “I don’t think the Prime Minister has any problem working with women.
“If you look at the women he has around him, the first female chancellor [Rachel Reeves], Angela Rayner – the cabinet is gender balanced. We have more female Labour MPs than there are Tory MPs in total.

“So I don’t think any sense that the Labour party has a problem with women – or the prime minister – is evidenced by the facts of us.”
Canterbury MP Ms Duffield submitted a scathing resignation letter to Sir Keir on September 29.
In an interview last week, Ms Duffield was asked if she thought Sir Keir "has a problem with women".
She replied: "I'm afraid I do. I've experienced it myself."
The now-independent MP said she and other female Labour backbenchers refer to "the young men who surround" Sir Keir as "the lads".
"It's very clear that the lads are in charge," she added.
"They've now got their Downing Street passes and they're the same ones briefing against me in the papers and other prominent female MPs."

But Ms Haigh said: “I am a senior woman in the Cabinet and I sit in front of you as the youngest ever woman to sit in any British cabinet.

“We have the first female Chancellor (Rachel Reeves), we have a female Deputy Prime Minister (Angela Rayner), we are gender balanced as a Cabinet and we have more women Labour MPs than the Tories have MPs in total.
“So I just don’t recognise those characterisations at all.
“There are a lot of feisty women around that Cabinet table who, as I am sure you will appreciate, absolutely make their voices heard and their views known.”
